One headcover outside the ball and one inside create a tight neutral corridor, so clipping either one tells you exactly which path fault is creeping back in.
advanced10-15 reps once the single-cover drill feels easy2 headcovers
How to perform it
1.Place one headcover just outside the ball, marking the outer boundary of your swing path.
2.Place a second headcover just inside the ball, closer to your feet, marking the inner boundary.
3.Swing through, delivering the club between the two without touching either.
4.Use it as a two-way diagnostic: clipping the outer cover means over-the-top, clipping the inner one means too far under or inside.
What you should learn
•How to fine-tune an already-improved path down to a tight, repeatable corridor.
•Which direction your path tends to drift when you're not paying attention.
After a few weeks of practice
Your path narrows into a tight, neutral-to-slightly-inside corridor and shot dispersion tightens noticeably compared to the single-headcover version.
