Chipping & Pitching
Chipping with only your lead hand on the club prevents the wrist from collapsing or scooping, training crisp, descending contact.

How to perform it
- 1.Grip the club with only your lead hand, letting the trail hand rest lightly on your forearm or off the club entirely.
- 2.Make small chipping strokes, keeping the lead wrist firm through impact instead of letting it break down.
- 3.Progress to slightly longer chips as control improves.
- 4.Reintroduce the trail hand once contact is consistently crisp, checking the same feel carries over.
What you should learn
- •What a firm, un-collapsed lead wrist feels like through impact.
- •How wrist breakdown is what actually causes thin or inconsistent chip contact.
After a few weeks of practice
Contact becomes crisper and more ball-then-turf, the 'flip' through impact disappears, and trajectory and spin become more predictable.
