beginner5-10 setup checks before each session2 alignment sticks

How to perform it

  1. 1.Lay a stick across your toe line, parallel to the target, as an alignment reference.
  2. 2.Hold a second stick vertically against your sternum, letting your hands hang just underneath it in your normal grip.
  3. 3.Check that your hands aren't reaching out toward the ball or crowded in too close.
  4. 4.Take this position as your starting checkpoint before every practice shot for a few sessions.

What you should learn

  • What a neutral, hands-hanging setup actually feels like versus reaching or crowding.
  • How hand position at address shapes your swing plane before you even start moving.

After a few weeks of practice

Your setup becomes noticeably more repeatable, and contact quality improves simply because you're starting from the same neutral position every time.
