Full Swing Fundamentals
A full-length mirror or glass door lets you see faults in your posture and alignment that are nearly impossible to feel on your own.
beginner5 minutes, 3-4 times a weekFull-length mirror or reflective glass door
How to perform it
- 1.Set up in front of a mirror as if you were addressing a ball.
- 2.From a down-the-line view, check your spine tilt, knee flex and posture look athletic rather than standing tall or slouched.
- 3.From a face-on view, check your weight is balanced and your shoulders/hips sit parallel to an imagined target line.
- 4.Make small adjustments, then hold the corrected position for a few slow practice swings while watching the reflection.
What you should learn
- •What your real posture and alignment look like, versus what they feel like.
- •Which specific fault (standing up, poor spine angle, misaligned shoulders) is most often creeping into your setup.
After a few weeks of practice
A consistent, athletic setup becomes a habit you no longer have to think about, and your balance throughout the swing improves as a result.
