Lesson 3 of 7
Aim your body and the clubface at the target, not just the ball.
~10 minClubAlignment stick (or a second club)
Steps
- 1.Pick a small, specific target (a flag, a tree) rather than a general direction.
- 2.Set the clubface square to that target first, before you set your feet.
- 3.Then set your feet, knees, hips, and shoulders parallel to the target line — like train tracks, with the ball on the outer rail.
- 4.Use an alignment stick or a second club on the ground to check your foot line.
Why it helps
Most beginners aim with their feet, not the clubface — and end up fighting a swing path that's compensating for bad aim.
Your assignment
Lay a club on the ground pointing at your target and take 10 setups checking your feet against it.
