Lesson 2 of 7

Stance & posture

Set an athletic base you can rotate around.

~5 minAny clubMirror or phone (optional)

Steps

  1. 1.Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, weight balanced between the balls of your feet.
  2. 2.Bend from your hips (not your waist) until your arms hang straight down naturally.
  3. 3.Let your knees flex slightly, and keep your back reasonably straight — no slouching.
  4. 4.Let your arms hang so the club rests naturally behind the ball.

Why it helps

Good posture gives your swing room to turn; poor posture is the root cause of topped and fat shots.

Your assignment

Take 10 practice setups without a ball, checking your posture in a mirror or phone camera each time.
