Lesson 4 of 7
Place the ball where your swing naturally bottoms out.
~10 minA few clubsBalls
Steps
- 1.For a mid-iron, position the ball roughly in the center of your stance.
- 2.For a longer club (like a driver), move it forward, toward your lead foot's instep.
- 3.For a shorter club (like a wedge), move it slightly back of center.
- 4.Keep the ball position consistent for each club so your low point becomes repeatable.
Why it helps
Ball position controls whether you strike the ball on the way down (irons) or on the way up (driver) — wrong position causes fat and thin shots.
Your assignment
Set up to 5 balls with a mid-iron and 5 with your longest club, checking ball position changes between them.
